I am a recent convert to being a techie. It has been a long time in coming, but I am glad that it has finally happened. After all, almost everyone these days is already pretty much savvy when it comes to the latest technology, and especially about the Internet. Even though I have recognized for the last few years that the Internet has indeed changed the whole technological landscape, as well as communications and sharing of information, I was still not inclined to use it too much. But I was eventually hooked by the explosion of social networking and how the Internet has managed to make the world seem so much smaller. And I was certainly fascinated by the commercial possibilities that it presented.
I was readily struck by how websites such as eBay operated, and how it was able to serve people. Since I am someone who loves to buy a lot of stuff, from clothes to footwear to perfume, I found that the convenience that it provided is really great. And since I also plan on selling a few personal items myself, the existence of eBay is really a great advantage for me. And because of that, I decided to learn as much as I can about eBay and about what it can offer to me and to everyone else. Right now I am actually in the middle of learning all about it, so that it could be to my advantage in the very near future.
What’s in a Name: Changing your eBay Username
I wanted to know the ins and outs of having my own eBay account, and so I continue researching about it. What I learned most recently was that if I wanted to, I could change my username on eBay. How to change eBay name is actually much easier than I thought it would be. First of all, a username is selected when you register on eBay and it will be used for identification and also when signing in, bidding, buying, or selling items.
• Simply sign on to you eBay user account and then go to ‘My eBay’. Click the ‘My Account’ section at the top. On the left sidebar you can see a section known as ‘Personal Information’. When you click the link, your account will be brought up.
• Click the edit button that is right after the User ID Section. After clicking, you will notice that you are already on the change user ID page. You can now enter your new username in the space provided. A distinctive icon will right beside your new username and will notify people about the change for about a month.
