One of the things that define my personality is my love for books. Every one who knows me very well, from my family to my closest friends, knows how I simply love books. It is an extension of my love for reading, which began at a very early age. I just read everything that I could get my hands on, which was an excellent way to accelerate my capacity to read. And true enough, I was able to learn how to read faster and better than most of the kids my age, and that carried on until I was older. The love that I have for books and reading also extended to a love for collecting my favorite reading materials, which were mostly classic novels and history books. And then, at one point, it also became an unexpected source of income for me.
This came about when I began to take advantage of the possibilities presented by Amazon.com in a really major way. I began to purchase most of the books that I read through the website, which offered great titles and variety. And then I somehow thought of selling of the books that I have, I found it acceptable since I had some titles that are duplicates of each other. That was a result of some friends giving me multiple copies of some titles, which is why I had some books to spare. There are also older books that I already want to get rid of, and instead of throwing it I thought of just selling it on Amazon.
Selling Books on Amazon
If like myself some of you are already prepared to part with your books that have been in your possession for a long time, or maybe not that long, then here’s how to sell books on Amazon:
• The initial thing that has to be done is to get an account on Amazon. Go to the site and click the “Your Account” tab. Type your email address and then set up your account.
• Amazon will ask for your credit card and billing information. After registering it, Amazon will contact the credit card company for verification. Wait for the confirmation of your seller’s. It should come in the form of an email.
• Select the shipping method that you will offer to all of your buyers. Confirm that all details are true, after which you can add the book to Amazon.com’s marketplace.
• To post your book, search for the title and then choose what book you wish to sell from the search results. Click the button on the screen asking if you desire to sell the book.
• You need to decide on the price that you would like to sell your book for. Also, you need to let buyers know about the kind of condition that the book is in.
