A world of seemingly endless possibilities – something made possible by the Internet. At least that is the impression that you can get from the rapid strides in the development of technology during the last few years, and it is all especially highlighted by the rise to prominence of the Internet. Its use by people the world over has grown by leaps and bounds in the last decade, and you know that it is still growing with each day that passes. There’s probably that you think of that’s not affected or connected to the development of the Internet these days, and that’s definitely a major statement right there.
Personally, I enjoy the availability of online shopping. Buying stuff has never been this fun for me. Gone are the hassles, and sometimes even hazards, of having to go out to get the items that you want. While some still look for the thrill and the experience of actual shopping, I’d totally gone over that and I now prefer doing my buying online. And the unexpected thing about all of this is that I have also become very interested in selling some things that I own. Now that’s a very new experience for me, but I am finding that it is something worthwhile and that I am also enjoying it a lot. Plus, I get to earn some extra money every once in a while.
Selling Things on eBay
For those who might to know how to sell things on eBay, here’s how:
• First thing to do is to set up an eBay account. Log in to the site and then click “sell” on the home page in order to begin the setup page that starts the auction process.
• Select from the suggested categories given by eBay. You need to enter a title for the item you’re going to auction. Be more detailed and enter more information about the item, not just its name.
• It would be better to add pictures of your item. Make use of the pop up tool that allows you to search and upload photos of your choice. Also, include the item’s condition in your description of the item.
• You will then have to set a price for your item. The first item is to set a “lowest price’ that you will find acceptable. After that, set a “reserve price”, the amount that bidders must reach before you actually sell the item, and then choose the duration of the auction.
• Select a shipping option for the buyers. PayPal payments, personal checks, and money orders should be acceptable. You will also need to set up shipping rate options, also including some free shipping. And you will also have a return policy.
• Preview the listing that you’ve made. Please click “Preview” on the last set up page. After that, you’ll have to click “List Your Item”.
• At the conclusion of the auction, immediately contact the buyer. Send the buyer an invoice that includes the total price. Upon receiving payment, ship the item to the buyer.
